Rotate, Straighten and Flip a Photo — Every Setting Explained (Free, No Upload)
Every setting of the free Transform tool on a river photo that leans 3°: the fine angle, and what the frame does with it — Fit grows it (3307 × 2298), Crop to the frame trims the empty corners (2970 × 1980), Keep the size holds 3200 × 2133 — the background, the format (PNG 12.6 MB, JPG 1.7 MB, WebP 1.4 MB), stretch, slant and quality. Then three jobs: a level horizon (1.5 MB JPG), a sideways photo turned with nothing re-encoded, and mirrored text flipped back, also lossless. Nothing is uploaded.

The Transform tool, every setting, on a photo of the river in Porto that leans three degrees. Typing −3 turns it level, and the frame decides what happens next: Fit everything grows the canvas to 3307 × 2298 so nothing is cut off, leaving empty corners; Crop to the frame trims them for a clean 2970 × 1980 rectangle, the right choice for a horizon; Keep the size holds 3200 × 2133 and fills the corners instead — with transparency, a colour, or stretched edge pixels. The format matters: the same result is 12.6 MB as PNG, 1.7 MB as JPG and 1.4 MB as WebP. A quarter turn or a mirror of a JPG saved as JPG is done without re-encoding: the badge says Nothing re-encoded, and not one pixel changes. Free does one image at a time up to 25 MB; Pro does a hundred. Nothing is uploaded.

Leaning 3°
The Transform tool, every setting: turning, the exact angle, the frame, what goes behind the picture, mirroring, stretching and the format — and which to use for what. Free, and nothing is uploaded.
The panel reads top to bottom: quick turns, a fine angle, mirror, stretch and slant, then the frame, the background, the quality and the format. The output size updates as you go.
−3° · the frame grows to 3307 × 2298
That is Fit everything. Nothing is cut off — but the corners it adds are empty.
Crop to the frame · 2970 × 1980
Keep the size · 3200 × 2133
What fills them is the background: transparent, a colour of your choice, or Stretch the edges, which smears the border pixels outward so the corners are hard to spot.
PNG 12.6 MB · JPG 1.7 MB · WebP 1.4 MB
Width 150% · 4800 × 3200
Quality picks how pixels are resampled. Leave it on Sharpest; Hard edges is only for pixel art.
Level a horizon · −3°, crop, JPG → 1.5 MB
Sideways photo · Rotate right · nothing re-encoded
Mirrored text · Flip horizontal · nothing re-encoded
So: a horizon, the angle and Crop. Sideways, a quick turn and JPG. Backwards text, Flip horizontal. For the web, save as WebP.
