Black & White Video, every setting, on a street clip with one strong colour — a red hoodie. Standard is already a good black and white (5.5 MB in, 4.7 MB out). The method decides which colours turn light and which dark: a Red filter makes the hoodie glow, High contrast pushes everything toward black and white — the coloured filters photographers put on the lens. Strength blends colour back; contrast and brightness adjust the tone; toning tints the grey (sepia, selenium, cyanotype); film grain adds texture. Keep one colour keeps a single hue in colour: at the default 40° range it also keeps the beige walls and skin, at 12° only the hoodie. MP4, WebM or MOV out, with any sound copied untouched. Free converts one video up to 100 MB and five minutes. Nothing is uploaded. Video: Freepik.

Black and white video, every setting: thirteen ways to turn colour into grey, the tone, toning, film grain, keeping one colour, and the export — and which to use for what. Free, and nothing is uploaded.

The preview on the left, with a before and after divider you can drag. On the right: the method, strength, tone, toning, grain, keep one colour, and the output.

Standard · 5.5 MB → 4.7 MB

Red filter · High contrast

Strength blends back some of the colour. Contrast and brightness do what they say.

Sepia · Selenium · Cyanotype

Film grain adds texture — a little looks like film, a lot looks like a mistake.

Keep one colour · range 40° → walls kept too

Hue range 12° · only the hoodie

MP4 4.7 MB · WebM 4.0 MB

Documentary · Orange filter + Sepia

Social · Keep one colour · 12°

Web page · WebM · 4.0 MB

So: a classic look, Standard. Old footage, a coloured filter and sepia. One colour that matters, keep one colour with a narrow range. The web, WebM.
