Word Document Metadata, Every Field: See It, Edit It, Strip It

Every field of the free Word Metadata editor on a wholesale quote reused from a previous client: the author, company and manager, 14 revisions, 312 minutes of editing — and, where nobody looks, a private pricing note in Comments, a template named after the old client, and a custom property naming them. Edit any field; Anonymise clears who made it (7 changes) but keeps Comments, so for this file Strip all (17 changes). On Free the custom properties and the names on comments are Pro — and the page says so. The downloaded copy, re-opened, proves it. Nothing is uploaded.

Word Metadata, every field, on a quote from an invented ceramics studio to a new client — reused from the quote to a previous one. Dropped in, every property Word keeps is shown and editable: Author (Marta Silva), Last saved by, Company, Manager, Revision 14, Total editing time 312 minutes. Then the parts nobody reads: the Comments property holds a private note on what the last client paid, the Template is named after that client, and a custom property names them outright. Editing a field marks it changed and plans one change. Anonymise clears what identifies a person or a company — author, last saved by, company, manager, template, editing time: 7 changes — but keeps the title, keywords and Comments, so the pricing note would still go out; for this file Strip all empties every built-in property (17 changes). On Free, custom properties and the names on the reviewer’s comment and tracked change are Pro, and the page says so under the presets. Apply, download the updated copy, and re-open it: every built-in field is empty, and the card says two properties are still set — the custom ones. Free: one document up to 100 MB, every built-in field. Pro: 50 documents, custom properties, names removed from comments and tracked changes. Nothing is uploaded.
