What This Tool Offers

This free tool extracts selected slides from a PowerPoint (PPTX) into a new file in your browser. Choose which slides to keep by range, use Select all or Deselect all, set an optional output filename, then download the new presentation.

  • File info: File size and slide count are shown next to the filename. Use Clear or Choose another file as needed.
  • Select slides: Enter a range (e.g. 1-5, 7, 10 or 1- for all) and click Apply. Use Select all or Deselect all for quick selection. The UI shows Keeping X of Y slides.
  • Output filename: Optionally set the name of the new PPTX; leave blank to use the original name with _split appended.
  • New PPTX: The result is a new file containing only the selected slides. Your original file is not modified.
  • Client-side and private: Your file is never uploaded; processing runs in your browser.

Why Split a PowerPoint?

Splitting lets you reuse part of a deck, share only certain slides, or break a long presentation into smaller files for different audiences or purposes.

How It Works

Upload a PPTX (file size and slide count are shown), choose the slide range or individual slides to keep and click Apply—you’ll see Keeping X of Y slides. Use Clear or Choose another file if needed. Optionally set the output filename, then click Download selected slides. The tool builds the new PPTX in your browser.

When to Split a PowerPoint

Split a PPTX when you need to reuse a section in another deck, share only specific slides with a client or team, create a shorter version for a different audience, or break one long presentation into several smaller files. The tool keeps your original file unchanged and gives you a new file with only the slides you chose.

Powered by browser APIs and client-side processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my file secure?

Yes. Processing runs entirely in your browser. Your PPTX never leaves your device.

Can I extract non-consecutive slides?

Yes. Use the tool’s range or selection (e.g. 1-3, 5, 7) to include only the slides you want in the new file.

Can I set the output filename?

Yes. Enter a name in the Output filename field (without .pptx); the tool adds the extension. Leave it blank to use the original file name with _split appended.

Does the original file get modified?

No. The original file is not changed. You download a new PPTX that contains only the selected slides.

Can I split into multiple files?

Run the tool multiple times with different slide selections to create several separate PPTX files from one presentation.
