About Excel Tools
We provide free online Excel tools for converting spreadsheets to CSV, PDF, JSON, HTML, merging and splitting workbooks, and viewing Excel in the browser—built for quick handoffs between finance, ops, and engineering.
Watch sheet scope and merged cells when exporting to CSV—only the active sheet usually survives unless the tool documents multi-sheet exports.

Frequently asked questions
- Are Excel tools free?
- Yes, all Excel tools are free. Convert to CSV, PDF, JSON, HTML, merge, split, and view spreadsheets without registration or payment. All processing happens in your browser.
- Do formulas survive when I export to CSV?
- CSV stores cell values as plain text—live formulas from XLSX generally appear as their calculated results, not as spreadsheet formulas. Keep an XLSX copy when you still need recalculating models.
- What Excel formats are supported?
- We support XLSX (Excel 2007+) and XLS (Excel 97–2003) for input. Output formats include CSV, XLSX, PDF, JSON, and HTML. CSV can be used as input for CSV to Excel.
- Can I merge multiple Excel files?
- Yes, use our Merge Excel tool to combine multiple workbooks or sheets into one. The tool runs in your browser and keeps your data private.
- Is there a file size limit?
- Limits depend on your device's memory. Very large spreadsheets (for example 10MB+ or 100k+ rows) may take longer. For best results, we recommend files under 5MB for most tools.
